A small, independent school in East London has an exciting opportunity for a SENCo. The School is a provision that assists children with SEMH issues and aims to make their educational experience much more bearable. This is a chance to work with an extremely dedicated team and have a positive impact on children's educational experience. This is a permanent role. As SENCo, you will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead SEND provision across the school
* Work in conjunction with SLT
* Ensure all statutory/legal requirements are met for children with SEND
* Lead Annual Review meetings
* Create and review support plans with teachers and parents
* Regularly liaise with parents and keep them informed
* Deploy SEND staff and resources effectively
* Monitor and evaluate SEND staff performance
* Keep up to date with the latest SEND legislation
Essential Criteria
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (NASENCO)
Desirable Criteria
* Previous experience working in a leadership team
