We are seeking a Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic primary school team starting in April 2025. This role offers the flexibility of working two days per week (Thursdays and Fridays) while providing targeted support to students in areas where extra help is needed.
About the Role:
As a Part-Time Teaching Assistant, you will provide focused support in specific subjects or areas of learning for students who require additional assistance. You will work closely with the class teacher and support students' academic, social, and emotional development in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students with additional learning needs
2. Provide one-on-one or small group support in specific subjects or areas
3. Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
4. Support the development of students’ social, emotional, and academic skills
5. Contribute to the monitoring and assessment of student progress
6. Help maintain a safe and welcoming classroom environment
Key Requirements:
1. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (preferred but not essential)
2. Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
4. Patient, proactive, and flexible
5. Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards helping students succeed
6. Experience working with children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is a plus
