About FOLIUM Science
FOLIUM Science is a UK based biotechnology business that was founded in 2016 as a division of SNIPR Holdings APS alongside its sister company SNIPR Biome. The business was founded in Cambridge and has R&D laboratories in Bristol. Our mission is to be the first to deliver CRISPR to the food chain for precise bacterial control. FOLIUM Science has developed unique and patented technology that will selectively remove unwanted bacteria. This technology is called “Guided Biotics”. It will help to reduce the need to use antibiotics in farmed animals. FOLIUM Science has developed unique Guided Biotics to selectively remove unwanted bacteria from livestock. Priority targets for poultry applications are Salmonella (all serotypes) and other zoonotic, performance reducing, spoilage and wastage bacteria. FOLIUM Science investors have been with us since incorporation in 2017 and are committed to taking our product to market across several territories through to 2025.
