Registered Children’s Home Manager
Location: Duston, NN5
Salary: Up to £50,000 per year + up to £4,500 in bonuses
This is an opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or an ambitious Deputy Manager to take the next step in their career. You will be at the forefront of establishing a brand-new 2-bed EBD children’s home, with the full backing of a well-established company renowned for its “Good” and “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings.

Your Role
As Registered Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the home and ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and leadership. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading with Vision – Oversee all operational aspects of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
* Championing Young People – Develop and implement individualised care plans that support their emotional, social, and educational development.
* Inspiring & Developing Your Team – Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing care team, fostering a positive and supportive culture.
* Safeguarding & Protecting – Act as the designated safeguarding lead, ensuring the safety, well-being, and rights of the young people in your care.
* Creating a Positive Home Culture – Foster a stable, nurturing, and empowering environment where young people feel valued and supported.
* Collaborating for Success – Work closely with families, external agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes for the young people.
* Managing Resources Effectively – Oversee budgets, staffing, and operational efficiency, ensuring the home runs smoothly and sustainably.
What We’re Looking For
We need an inspiring and capable leader who brings:
* Qualifications – Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
* Experience – At least five years in residential childcare, including leadership or management roles.
* Strong Knowledge – A thorough understanding of Ofsted regulations, compliance standards, and legislation.
* Proven Success – A track record of delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for young people.
* Leadership & People Management – The ability to motivate, organise, and develop a team to provide outstanding care & support.
* Resilience & Problem-Solving Skills – Confidence in handling challenges, making informed decisions, and staying calm under pressure.
