Are you looking for an opportunity to support children who have experienced trauma? Children who need positive role models in their lives to support them with everything from life skills to emotional stability?
As a Specialist Therapeutic Childcare Worker, you will be working to the principal values of PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) and the Good Lives Model (among others).
The children will be aged between 8 - 18 years old and will need support with education, day-to-day activities, emotional well-being, and support developing life skills. The young people engage in an active lifestyle, so candidates happy to lead a hands-on, outdoors lifestyle would be a perfect fit.
Located in the stunning countryside close to Corwen is a residential setting supporting children and young people with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties and Social and Emotional Mental Health. The young people here may have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Alongside a multi-disciplinary Clinical Team, headed by a lead Psychologist, you will provide therapeutic support to the young people, enabling them to build healthy relationships, confidence, and their own positive identity.
This is a new service opening under a very well-established company. You will be starting as part of a new team, trained in an existing home down the road to give you the best possible induction and introduction to the role. You will be eased into the role to ensure you feel well-trained and prepared.
