We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a good technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping others resolve technical issues. As our IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and supporting your IT Manager and colleagues to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Technical Support: Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring prompt resolution via phone, email, chat, or in-person. Incident Management: Log, track, and resolve support requests using our ticketing system. Prioritize and escalate issues as necessary. System Maintenance: Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, servers, and other IT infrastructure. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems (Windows, macOS), applications, networking, and hardware (printers, monitors, etc.). User Onboarding & Training: Assist with new employee setup (hardware, software, access permissions) and provide basic training on company software and systems. System Upgrades & Patches: Monitor and apply software updates and security patches to ensure systems remain up to date and secure. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and technical procedures for future reference. Hardware and Software Inventory: Track IT assets (laptops, phones, peripherals) and software licenses, ensuring accurate records are kept. Security Support: Assist with maintaining IT security protocols, including user account management, password resets, and multi-factor authentication. Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team to support the implementation solutions for ongoing technology issues and contribute to ongoing IT projects. Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining a professional, positive attitude when interacting with employees and resolving issues in a timely manner. Your skills and experience will include: 1-3 years of experience in IT support or a related field, with a strong understanding of IT systems and networks. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve a wide variety of technical issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Experience in a customer-facing or support role, with a focus on providing exceptional service and creating a positive user experience. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. A minimum Level 3 qualification or above in an IT based subject. It is important to note there will be a requirement to support the operation and cover possible weekend and evening shifts as part of the IT support team.
