Who You Are You are a qualified and experienced Social Worker with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience in statutory Children's Social Care services. You hold a Social Work degree or equivalent and are registered with Social Work England (SWE). You possess in-depth knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Adoption & Children Act 2002, and the Children and Young Persons Act 2008 alongside other legislative frameworks. You demonstrate excellent skills in managing complex caseloads, critical reflection, and implementing needs-led assessments and planning. What The Job Involves This role involves contributing to the operational delivery of an effective Children's Social Care Service, focusing on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people. You will manage complex and varied caseloads, ensuring adherence to policy, procedures, and legislation. You will prepare written statements for Court hearings, engage in evidence-based decision-making, and assess risk and need levels. The role includes chairing multidisciplinary forums, conducting direct work with families, and maintaining up-to-date documentation. You will be responsible for managing data entry, overseeing social work student assessments, and ensuring compliance with legal data protection requirements. You will also contribute to team development, participate in training, and engage in performance reviews.
