Join The King's School, Canterbury as Activities Leader and Photographer for our Summer Programmes!
This summer, we are proud to host two outstanding residential programmes:
* A residential exchange programme: A bespoke experience for students aged 9–13 from our partner school in The King's School, Shenzhen, China.
* The Global Summer School: An exciting opportunity for international students aged 8–17 to enhance their English skills while exploring specialist academies in Sports, Music & Performance, Pre-University Preparations, and International Relations.
The Role
The Activities Leader plays a key role in The King’s School Summer Programmes, responsible for delivering and supervising a range of co-curricular activities and excursions. This position ensures students have a safe, engaging, and enjoyable experience outside the classroom, contributing to their personal and social development.
* Activity Delivery & Supervision – Plan and lead a variety of activities, including sports, arts, team-building exercises, and evening events. Ensure all students are engaged, safe, and included.
* Excursion Coordination – Assist in organising and supervising off-site excursions, following safety protocols and engaging with students.
* Photography & Media – Capture high-quality photos and videos of activities for social media and promotional use. Edit and manage visual content.
* Student Engagement & Support – Build positive relationships, promote teamwork and respect, and address minor welfare or behavioural concerns. Assist with airport meet & greets, student check-ins, and boarding duties.
* Administrative & Operational Support – Maintain accurate attendance records, set up and clear activity spaces, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual with experience working with children. You should be friendly, approachable, and able to support students pastorally, particularly in a boarding environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to supervise and engage young people effectively.
You should have experience in photography and videography, including editing skills and proficiency in Adobe Suite.
