Role Description
As a Hygiene Operative, you will be required to undertake all aspects of cleaning in food manufacturing areas, equipment, machinery, and buildings to meet food hygiene standards. You will carry out the consistent application of hygiene within a given area/line to ensure the area is maintained to the agreed standards. It will be part of your job to ensure that all cleaning processes are completed in full and that hygiene standards for a given area are maintained.
Some duties include:
1. Carry out cleaning of all scheduled areas of the factory as part of a team.
2. Carry out scheduled deep cleaning of the fabrication of the buildings.
3. Wearing full PPE such as chemical suit, visor, wellingtons, gloves, and safety goggles.
4. Working at height to access equipment, pipes, and building fabrication.
5. Filling out paperwork and documenting work carried out.
6. Promote a good health and safety culture within the workplace.
7. Use, make up, and store chemicals.

9. Understanding of GMP requirements and ability to adhere to these.
10. Understanding of hygiene within a food production environment and its impact on the finished product.
11. Exposure or experience in hygiene functions to understand the purpose.
12. Confidence and competence in accurately operating machinery and completing paperwork.
13. A willingness to seek opportunities for improvement of processes.
14. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the team, team leader, and key stakeholders.
