Role Overview
The Electrical Engineer/ Technical Manager plays a key role in leading the technical team and supporting clients in transitioning to EV solutions. This position involves overseeing installations, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop the technical team, implementing policies and procedures.
* Provide technical expertise on EV charge point installations.
* Create scope, tender, and pricing documents for clients and subcontractors.
* Review project materials for accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
* Assist customers through the technical survey and purchasing process.
* Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and DNOs to ensure project feasibility.
* Oversee DNO applications and provide status updates.
* Ensure compliance with RAMS, policies, and environmental plans.
* Liaise between technical and field operations teams, managing survey volumes and SLAs.
* Support the strategic and commercial evaluation of products and projects.
* Develop technical training programs for internal teams.
* Manage risk assessment and project challenges related to electrical installations.
* Ensure high-quality standards in electrical components and materials.
* Resolve customer service issues and suggest improvements.
Essential Experience
* BSc in Electrical or Civil Engineering, or NVQ Level 3-7 with relevant experience.
* Strong knowledge of BS7671 and IET EV charging guidelines.
* Project management and team leadership experience.
* Experience with tendering, pricing, and DNO applications (NI & ROI).
* Understanding of grid and LV electrical infrastructure.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong communication skills.
* Full UK driving license.
