We are recruiting for Youth Workers at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Please Note: The ability to speak Welsh for this post is essential. Successful applicants will be delivering Youth work sessions in Welsh.
Working hours: Various (2.5 - 7.5 hours)
Contract Type: Part Time/Fixed Term until 31-08-2025/Term Time Only
Location: Hangar Youth Community Centre
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Youth Service Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £18.11 - £19.78 per hour and offer access to training and development opportunities.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people for our part time Youth Service in the North Cluster of Caerphilly Borough Council who have a range of relevant skills, and who are passionate about supporting young people in their communities.
The successful applicants will work in partnership with young people to develop their Welsh skills and knowledge, so they are able to participate as active citizens in their community.
You will play an active role in the formation and implementation of the project’s aims, objectives and responsibilities, facilitating the universal provision of access to youth work, activities and services Borough wide.
Applicants will need to have the Level 2 qualification in Youth Work,and be willing to undertake the Level 3 training as part of the Education Workforce Council requirements.
For the role, we ask that you have:
1. The ability to speak Welsh.
2. A Level 2 qualification in Youth Work and be willing to undertake the Level 3 training as part of the Education Workforce Council requirements.
3. The willingness to work unsocial hours (evenings and some weekends).
4. The ability to work at various site throughout the Borough and beyond.
