Job Title: Paint Sprayer – (Aerospace/ Manufacturing)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, 37 hours per week over a 4-day week (Monday to Thursday)
Overtime Opportunity: Overtime is available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
The Role: We are actively seeking an experienced WET SPRAY Paint Sprayer with a minimum of three years of experience in an aerospace or automotive manufacturing environment. As a Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for applying paint to aerospace components in compliance with organizational and industry standards. This role requires flexibility and the ability to become a versatile, multi-skilled individual capable of working across various manufacturing functions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Communicate regularly with the Department’s Team Leader to understand production plans and objectives.
* Ensure compliance with all master processes and associated documents to maintain industry standards.
* Undertake tasks delegated by the Team Leader, Value Stream Leader, and/or Senior Management.
* Maintain high-performance standards within the team.
* Prepare components/parts within provided specifications.
* Monitor and uphold health and safety standards.
* Adhere to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people (SQCDP) standards.
* Maintain accurate records to uphold organizational and industry standards.
* Participate in training and development initiatives.
* Contribute to 6S improvements.
* Support cost reduction initiatives while ensuring compliance.
The Candidate: We are looking for a time-served painter with a proven track record of paint experience. The ideal candidate should also be computer literate, able to use Microsoft Office applications, and possess a flexible attitude towards the role. Teamwork is essential, but the ability to make autonomous decisions to ensure project deadline compliance is equally important. Attention to detail, high motivation, discipline, and a 'can do' attitude are crucial attributes. The ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines is also required.
Experience:
* Three years of working experience within an aerospace/manufacturing environment.
Working Pattern:
* 4-day week, Monday to Thursday, from 07:15 am to 5:00 pm, totaling 37 hours weekly.
* Overtime is available from Friday to Sunday at premium rates of pay.
* Holidays start at 28 days per year (including Bank Holidays) based on a 4-day working week.
* Overtime rates after basic hours are 1.5 times your basic hourly rate on Fridays and Saturdays.
* Overtime rates for Sundays are 2.0 times your basic hourly rate.
