Job Description Head of Child Care Location: Oldham Salary: £70k DOE About Our Client: We are partnering with a leading law firm with offices across the UK, currently expanding their Child Law team in Oldham. We are seeking a highly experienced and committed Child Law Solicitor with 7 years PQE to join their dedicated and dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: Caseload Management: Handle a broad range of Child Care work, including cases involving adoption and child protection. Advocacy: Represent clients in court, with a preference for those experienced in their own advocacy. Client Care: Provide exceptional service to clients, particularly those who are vulnerable, ensuring complex issues are handled with sensitivity and professionalism. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively within the team, fostering a positive culture and encouraging cross referrals. Business Development: Actively market the firm, leveraging networking skills to generate new business. Legal Expertise: Maintain a thorough working knowledge of publicly funded Child Care work and the CCMS system. Role Specific Requirements: Qualifications: 7 years PQE, registered with the Law Society, and Children Panel Membership. Practising Certificate: Must have a clean, valid Practising Certificate at the time of applying. Team Player: Committed team player with the ability to address team concerns fairly and encourage positive change. Client Care: Pro-active approach with excellent client care skills, especially in dealing with vulnerable clients. Networking Skills: Excellent networking and communication skills with a strong ability to market the firm and generate new business. Child Care Expertise: Extensive experience in Child Care work and familiarity with adoption matters. IT Proficiency: Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems.
