The successful applicant should be experienced in managing a team of Social Care Staff and have significant experience in adult safeguarding and be able to support the district with complex casework and management of high risk situations. The successful postholder will be well supported by existing peers and line management in carrying out their roles and responsibilities as defined in the attached JD/PS. You should be able to demonstrate commitment, resilience, enthusiasm, effective communication and strong decision making skills and be both an experienced manager and be willing to develop and acquire skills, knowledge and subsequent experience to take on the more senior operational responsibilities that come with this position. The expectation is that the successful applicant will work from the South Staffs office for a minimum of 3 days per week, in line with the needs of the organisation.
