Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer (EC&I) Position in Liverpool (UK)
Experienced Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineers are sought after for an exciting opportunity.
The Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, install, and commission control systems and instrumentation.
* Install and service advanced systems, including safety, security, process control, and energy delivery.
* Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and related equipment.
* Design new control systems and draft technical documentation, such as Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
* Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments, driving process safety initiatives.
* Tackle fault-finding challenges on-site, ensuring systems run smoothly and safely.
About the Ideal Candidate
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of electrical installation, Siemens TIA Portal, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)/Distributed Control System (DCS), MODBUS, Profibus/Profinet, and instrument calibration.
* Time-served EC&I apprentice with a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Maintenance & Instrumentation, 18th Edition certification, Compex certification, and process safety knowledge.
