Vacancy: Platform Manager (Quality) Location: Royston, UK (with hybrid working) Job Family: IT The Platform Manager (Quality) role as part of Engineering Team is to lead a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, and support, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. The Platform Manager is accountable for using their expertise to ensure on-going functional and configuration for MES applications used globally across the JM business. The Platform Manager is responsible for collaborating closely with the wider Engineering team to lead their functional area through to maturity and drive continuous improvement and ensure the on-going integrity of the design delivered by the project teams. The Primary applications used today are Labware, Dotmatics, Scibites, Zontal and other bespoke systems. Your responsibilities: Effectively partner with the business to understand the voice of the customers and business requirements to reflect into engineering reality Lead the strategy and roadmap for the platform, working closely with the engineering teams, stakeholders, and business leaders to align the platform and product with the company's goals and objectives Ensure the platform is secure, scalable, and high performing, monitoring key metrics and KPIs, identifying and addressing issues, and proactively identifying opportunities to optimize performance and enhance the customer experience Identify common reusable components across platforms and products to ensure greater efficiency and scalability Infuse a sense of ownership & pride amongst team members to deliver high quality work outputs Oversee code reviews with engineering team by inculcating new ways of thinking to improve design, quality etc. to drive higher engineering productivity and quality while driving standardisation and modularisation Requirements for the role: Significant experience working in a team management technical role supporting MoM systems Proven ability to convey complex technical terms to non-technical users Knowledge of SDLC processes e.g. Agile (Scrum, Kanban), Waterfall, along with awareness of latest technologies and frameworks Experience MoM professional with significant experience working on multiple, complex CI Quality projects In-depth knowledge and understanding of integrated technical design concepts and principles within a global organisation Knowledge of SDLC processes e.g. Agile (Scrum, Kanban), Waterfall, along with awareness of latest technologies and frameworks How you will be rewarded: We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including bonus, excellent pension contributions and 25 days annual leave (varies for shift-based roles).
