We’re looking for a Factory Warehouse Manager to join our Operations team
Purpose of the Role
Managing a team, you will be responsible for all factory warehouse operational activities. This is a role requiring someone with experience and sufficient self-motivation and ambition to make significant changes and improve operational performance to meet the required standards for this growing organisation.
To manage the WGC Factory Warehouse operational activities in a manner that adds value in such a way that the site key operational performance objectives are met, and to ensure all section functions are completed on schedule and according to budget, quality and factory requirements. You will provide direction and leadership, and ensure the WGC Warehouse achieves productivity, quality, financial and EHS targets. You will manage professionally and positively to identify and meet the needs of both Sika and external customers, setting high service standards and delivering continuous improvement, whilst working with the WGC Production team to better improve warehouse operations, production efficiencies, and comply with all site processes and procedures. You will also manage absence, conduct, training, and enhance the capability of the Warehouse Operatives.
The Opportunity:
Manage the warehouse operational activities, ensure KPIs are met, and functions completed on time and according to budget, quality and factory requirements.
* Provide direction and leadership to the warehouse team ensuring achievement of productivity, quality, financial targets.
* Commitment to improve and maintain Health and Safety standards, challenging poor behaviour and achieving best practice.
* Monitor procedures and processes for the receipt, storage, packing, picking and despatch of products, and maintain written procedures for all processes in line with company and regulatory standards.
* Manage labour and resources efficiently, including producing a daily resource plan and a training matrix for the warehouse team.
* Ensure that customer orders are managed efficiently and accurately.
* Ensure Safe Systems of work are adhered to and SOPs are followed, and appropriate standards of professional behaviour are maintained.
* Champion continuous improvement, working in line with 5S principles.
* Interface and communicate effectively with work colleagues and transport partners.
* To work with the WGC Production team to better improve warehouse operations, production efficiencies, and comply with all site processes and procedures.

Your expertise - Our strength

* Experience in a warehouse management or warehouse shift manager or supervisory role.
* A proven knowledge of goods control, management and distribution.

* IOSH trained.
