The HR Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic HR advice to senior operational stakeholders and implementing the divisional HR and balanced business plans.

Your core responsibilities
1. Provide strategic and operational HR advice to the divisional Senior Leadership Team and their Regional Management teams, attending senior leadership meetings and operations meetings as required.
2. Support in the delivery of large-scale TUPE transfers and deliver management of local consultation exercises (eg, redundancies, pay negotiations, organisational change etc).
3. Provide the required employee and industrial relations support, with a particular focus on trade union engagement, high level grievances and disciplinaries and other employment law related situations.
4. Support the regional management teams in the implementation of key employee relations projects and activities.
5. Work with operational teams to devise succession plans and drive development of the management teams.
6. Promote and drive the employee engagement agenda, particularly by assisting with completion and execution of engagement plans
7. Develop and coach line managers to ensure effective people management, mitigating risks associated with ER activities.
8. Implement the Divisional HR Strategy, and therefore in turn the Division’s Balanced Business Plan (BBP).
9. Lead and support with people analytics to deliver insights to improve management decision making
10. Play a key role in leading people change and organisational development ensuring impacts are managed appropriately

Our essential requirements
11. CIPD qualified Level 5
12. Experience in delivering projects within a trade unionised environment, including restructure programmes, organisational change, TUPE/acquisition activities.
13. Ability to support senior managers in dealing with local and regional Trade Union representatives with local pay negotiations and other trade union activities.
14. A strong understanding of performance management, talent management and succession planning.
