Senior Environmental Test Engineer

As a Senior Environmental Test Engineer, you'll play a hands-on role in planning, designing, and executing a range of rigorous tests to validate that materials meet both design and customer specifications. You'll oversee the entire test process, from planning through to post-test analysis and reporting, using your expertise in testing programs and military/civilian standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead various tests, including Ballistic Signal Transmission Testing (BSTS), Vibration & Shock response (SRS), Mechanical Shock, and Environmental Testing.
* Conduct testing for temperature shock, humidity, altitude, static load, drop testing, and more.
* Perform detailed analysis and compile thorough reports on test outcomes.
* Delegate tasks within small project teams, contributing to an efficient and collaborative testing environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Extensive hands-on experience in similar testing procedures, particularly in managing tests through to completion, with a strong capability in reporting and analysis.
* Prior experience in small, collaborative project teams with a focus on task delegation (rather than management) will be an advantage.
Desired Testing Experience:
* Ballistic Signal Transmission Testing (BSTS)
* Vibration & Shock response Spectrum (SRS) and mechanical shock testing
* Static load, climatic, and temperature shock testing
* Environmental and pyrotechnic/explosive testing
* Instron Machine, salt fog, and SO2 testing
* Knowledge of Military and Civilian Test Standards
Team Structure & Working Environment:
* Work within a 5-member team with close collaboration among Environmental Test and Electro-Mechanical teams.
* Hybrid work arrangement (2 days remote, office attendance as required by testing needs).

Qualifications:
* A degree in Engineering (2:1 or above) is essential.
