Groundsman - Warwickshire (Hindi or Punjabi Speaking)
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Groundsman to maintain the beautiful grounds of a prestigious, listed private estate in rural Warwickshire. The estate spans approximately 15 acres, featuring walled gardens, formal lawns, and paddocks. Your primary focus will be on the lawns, flower beds, and surrounding gardens near the residence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Groundsman, you will ensure the estate's immaculate upkeep through tasks such as:
Mowing and maintaining of formal lawns (primarily using a ride-on mower) on a weekly basis during the growing season
Lawn edging and strimming around trees and landscaped areas
Pruning, fertilising, and watering flower beds
Leaf blowing, debris collection, and removal of fallen branches
Hedge trimming and occasional planting of new or replacement plants as needed
Supervising contractors working on the grounds, such as tree surgeons and landscaping specialists
IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive, and reliable individual with previous experience as a Groundsman or in a similar role. The right candidate will have:
A good understanding of gardening practices
Excellent practical skills and attention to detail
Physical fitness and the ability to work independently
A valid driving license
The ability to communicate in Hindi or Punjabi is preferred but not essential
Hindi or Punjabi-speaking, with a good command of the English language
THE PACKAGE
Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 per annum (doe on a self-employed basis) plus generous tips
Accommodation: Live-in option available if required
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (5-day workweek)
