Airfield Vehicle DriverRoyal Air Force (RAF) Brize Norton, Carterton, 0X18 3LX.
Full Time, Permanent
£32,443 per annum (This salary includes your shift allowance)
Swing shift Monday to Friday alternate earlies and lates including rostered stand by.
There is currently a vacancy for an Airfield Vehicle Driver at RAF Brize Norton.
Airfield Vehicle Drivers are responsible to Serco’s ASMT Operational Manager, via the shift supervisor or their deputy.
The job requires the completion of all delegated tasks in line with the contract.
As part of this you’ll:
- Conform to safe working practices and ensure that any discrepancies are reported through the management chain.
- Undertake specific non-driving duties, i.e., vehicle cleaning and general husbandry of vehicles and work areas.
- Undertake training provided, to ensure competency and currency on specialist vehicles operated by ASMT, including new models of existing equipment.
- Operate any vehicle you have been trained and licensed to drive.
- Carrying out any other tasks as directed by the management chain.
- Maintain all valid driving permits associated with the role for airfield operations.
- Complete all mandatory Serco and other online training as and when required.
What you’ll need to do the role
- Have a valid clean driving licence.
- Hold Driving Licence Categories: Cat B, C, C+E, (D desirable).
- Must hold Colour Perception Level CP2.
- Ensuring delegated tasks are carried out in accordance with the current regulations and that the required standard practices are maintained.
- Hold an in-date ADR Licence (desirable, training can be provided to the right candidate).
