Description Grade 6- £38,058- £41442pa An opportunity has arisen for a full time post within the School Admissions, Attendance & Inclusions Team for an experienced Children Missing Education Officer. Candidates must have experience in managing cross-border Children Missing Education (CME) links and communications, including referrals from schools, common transfer file checks, and housing for tenancy agreements. The role requires strong collaboration skills with Multi Agencies including Police / NHS, Social Care, benefit checks, and school admission application support. Candidates must be proficient in gathering and analysing data from various sources to track the whereabouts of children and families, and provide evidence-based recommendations. A thorough understanding of safeguarding practices and legal requirements related to children missing education is essential. This includes knowledge of the Children’s Wellbeing Bill and the legal duty for councils to keep a register of children not in school.
