Description And Requirements Skanska are actively seeking a Lead Construction Manager to join our growing infrastructure water team, for a major project on behalf our client Anglian Water. Anglian Water’s new flagship, Cambridge Waste Water Treatment Plant Relocation Project proposed development involves the design and construction of a new greenfield, WWTW, including WRC, STC, tunnel, shafts, landscape and building architecture, highways re-alignment, major earthworks, commissioning of the new facility and de-commissioning of the existing treatment works. The Lead Construction Manager will manage the construction team to ensure all construction activities are provided in compliance with the development consent order. You will: Manage and develop your construction team to create industry leading construction techniques. Ensure the coordination of and communication between all parts of the project team including Suppliers, Contractors, Engineering, Safety and Environmental team and Clients’ team. Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team, Project Management Team, Design Team and all key stakeholders to deliver best value solutions. Develop new ways of working to reduce carbon, increase biodiversity, address climate change, and embrace innovations and new digital technologies. Assist in appointment of specialist contractors and management of the specialist contractors team contracts to cost, time, quality & safety requirements. Manage the creation of the projects pre-construction information and ensure all members of the team are aware of their responsibilities. Manage the production and co-ordination of the construction programme, Employers and Customers Requirements and deliverables schedule throughout the project. Manage the delivery of construction in accordance with the management plans, including client requirements, BIM strategy and contract agreement. Ensure clear record keeping and monitoring of design process/programme/deliverables. Ensure contractors proposals are compliant with employer’s requirements. Monitor and report on construction progress on a weekly and monthly basis, including taking action to maintain construction delivery to time, cost, drive efficiencies, quality and safety requirements. Implement the agreed DCO Project Principles in the delivery of construction, ensuring all Environmental and Enabling activities are undertaken correctly with the DCO & Delivery requirements. What you'll bring to the role: NVQ Level 4 or above Effective written and verbal communication skills to diverse audiences. Understanding of engineering principles. Competence with digital tools.
