We’re looking for a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team in Caterham.
In this role, you’ll play a key role in supporting and nurturing the development of children from Early Years to Key Stage 2, collaborating closely with teachers and staff to ensure each child receives the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
* Support the emotional, social, and cognitive growth of students.
* Create an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment for all.
* Track and monitor children’s progress, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
* Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
* Follow health and safety guidelines, ensuring safeguarding policies are in place.
* Help with the preparation of learning materials and maintaining an organized classroom.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualification (Drama, Dance, Psychology, English, Sports Science, or similar).
* Experience working in a school setting, after-school clubs, or youth clubs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, kind, and enthusiastic approach.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
