About you In palliative care no day is the same. Working on our inpatient unit provides a unique opportunity because we care for patients with such a variety of conditions and symptoms. If youd like to develop your knowledge of many different conditions and the impact this has on patients and their families a role in palliative care with Sue Ryder is for you. We want to hear from dedicated healthcare assistants with sound clinical skills who are keen to make a real difference by providing high quality care and support to our service users at a time when they need it most. We pride ourselves on a team that has been chosen because they are highly professional, passionate and dedicated to providing incredible end of life care. Our ideal candidate will be empathetic and have a real drive to improve the lives of those living with life limiting conditions. They will have a minimum of 1 years experience of working in a UK based health or social care role and have a clear understanding of palliative, end of life and community care. You will receive an excellent personalised training programme making this a wonderful opportunity to develop your skills as a Nursing Assistant in the specialist field of palliative care. The team cover South Oxfordshire, Henley, Goring, Sonning Common, Woodcote, Didcot, Abingdon & Didcot. A full UK driving license (manual & automatic) with insurance cover that allows business use is also required. A lease car provided for work visits, covering South Oxfordshire. Sue Ryder provides a thorough induction with supernumerary time to settle into the role and full training/competency assessment will be provided. There is plenty of scope to further develop your own skills in specialist palliative care, and planned career progression through our education programme and development framework is encouraged.
