Role Description

Allianz Pet is now entering the next stage of development and is looking to achieve major growth across its portfolio of brands. Identified for ‘unconstrained growth’, the business is increasing pet insurance distribution across all trading models including Price Comparison Websites (PCW)/Aggregators.
The Head of PCW Trading (pet) will play a key leadership role in defining and delivering the pet PCW trading strategy to achieve rapid profitable unit growth and cement strong Aggregator relationships.
Strategy Development and Execution:
* Own the pet insurance new business sales targets for the aggregator channel.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive trading strategy for each aggregator to deliver growth in line with business objectives.
* Identify and assess market opportunities and work with internal business stakeholders to build effective business cases for quick implementation.
* Provide clear articulation of aggregator needs ensuring their unique dynamics are considered in strategic decision making.
* Work within the Allianz matrix to collaborate across a variety of business functions (Pricing, Marketing, Website Optimisation, Compliance, Underwriting, Insight, Risk, Change) and secure the resources needed to execute the strategy for each aggregator.
Performance Management:
* Negotiate strong commercial agreements that allow best-in-class PCW trading and cost effective customer acquisition.
* Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, clicks, conversion rates, positions on site and pricing effectiveness and take action where needed to drive sales growth and GWP.
* Understand the factors impacting performance and provide clear, data-driven insights for any deviation from plan.
* Lead PCW Trading meetings and the reporting of all PCW sales and GWP performance for all brands within the Allianz pet portfolio to Senior Management and key stakeholders.
* Work with aggregators to define and deliver a promotional calendar of activity to increase visibility and high-quality traffic generation.
* Work with the Technical pricing team to implement pricing adjustments and understand the impact of price on performance across different customer segments.
* Work with the Digital Trading Team to identify and implement journey improvements to improve conversion performance inline with industry benchmarks.
* Lead and oversee the day-to-day activities and priorities of the Business Manager (Pet) and the PCW Trading Lead (Pet).
Relationship Management:
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key aggregator contacts to support the pet trading strategy.
* Collaborate with aggregator contacts to ensure the successful deployment of change projects and proposition enhancements leveraging your ability to get things prioritised.
* Ensure regular performance reviews with all aggregator partners.
* Build strong internal relationships and effective ways of working to support the pet PCW trading strategy and share insight and opportunities across other product lines within Allianz UK (car, home).
Compliance and Risk Management:
* Ensure all trading activities adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
* Oversee the creation and approval process for Financial Promotions within the aggregator channel.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with trading on aggregator platforms.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
* Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, PCW benchmarks and customer preferences to support the pet PCW trading strategy.
* Produce regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting performance trends, insights, and recommendations for improvement.

* Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
