Job Description The Job Mission As an HVAC System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and integration of HVAC systems within the Hinkley Point C project. You will ensure compliance with engineering methodologies, quality processes, and nuclear safety standards. Review and update system documentation, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements. Analyse and verify input data, integrating lessons learned from other nuclear facilities. Perform component sizing, thermal-hydraulic calculations, and system modelling. Support procurement with technical specifications and supplier surveillance. Conduct technical reviews and ensure documentation meets quality standards. Solve complex, multi-disciplinary engineering challenges proactively. Manage configuration changes and technical modifications to ensure design stability. Collaborate with stakeholders to support handover strategies and system integration. Qualifications Essential Skills and Qualifications Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent. 3 years’ experience in process engineering within the nuclear industry. Strong ability to manage workload and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proactive mindset with a problem-solving approach. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams. Commitment to improving the quality of engineering studies and documentation. Fluent in English.✔️ Desired Skills Experience with HVAC systems in large-scale energy projects. Familiarity with nuclear safety requirements and regulatory frameworks. Knowledge of computational modelling and thermal-hydraulic calculations. Understanding of procurement processes within engineering projects.
