Step By Step School is a small independent day school for autistic children and young people. We provide specialised teaching for Primary, Secondary and Sixth form pupils, aged 4-19. The defining aspect of our school is individualised teaching for each pupil based on behaviour analytic practices.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Undertake administrative duties in accordance with statutory and school requirements including providing telephone cover and message service, processing mail and purchasing school supplies.
* Ensure attendance registers are completed daily, kept up to date, and information is reported to other stakeholders when required, e.g., Headteacher, SLT, Governors, DfE.
* Ensure pupil records are kept up to date and communicate with appropriate members of staff when changes are made.
* Support the School Business Manager in recruitment and day-to-day premises management of the school.
* Assist with School and pupil filing, document retention, correspondence, and other records in line with the School’s Data Protection Policy.
* Assist the School Business Manager with Health & Safety requirements throughout the school.
* Undertake additional duties relevant to the role.
