As a Project Support Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting our not-for-profit client's Collection Care team. You'll lead budget tracking, enhance financial workflows, and assist with budget analysis and reporting.
Your new role
1. Be the go-to person for finance queries from Collection Care colleagues, casual staff, and other departments.
2. Collaborate with HR and Finance/Accounts to improve workflows.
3. Share best practices for using our finance systems and support colleagues with expense claims.
4. Process transactions on our finance system, ensuring accurate coding.
5. Reconcile monthly Management Transaction Reports with planned Purchase Order expenditure.
6. Support the Leadership and Management Teams with budget management and provide timely information for quarterly forecasting.
7. Meet with budget holders and the Collection Care Management Accountant to note and communicate action points.
8. Analyse trends and provide insightful data for strategic budget planning.
9. Prepare the monthly payroll submission and liaise with HR Operations if issues arise.
10. Administer year-end processes, including accruals and prepayments.
11. Raise sales invoices against costs recovered and income.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Proven experience of providing support within a busy office environment.
2. Commitment to outstanding customer-focused service.
3. Experience in setting up, maintaining, and improving administrative processes. ERP systems experience is a plus.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in dealing with all levels internally and externally.
5. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, coordinate, and delegate tasks to meet deadlines.
6. Experience in budget monitoring and negotiating with suppliers, with strong numerical accuracy.
7. Proficiency in MS Office packages, databases, and spreadsheets, with advanced Excel skills.
8. Proactive, flexible approach, able to work independently and as part of a diverse team, treating all with dignity and respect.
What you'll get in return
