An exciting opportunity has arisen to support our Anticoagulation team within the Derbyshire Pathology Business Unit.
We are currently recruiting a part-time Anticoagulation Service Support Assistant to provide comprehensive, flexible and highly efficient support to the department using a range of knowledge and skills.
You will be working alongside Specialist Nurses, Consultants, Laboratory Staff, and various other clinical and non-clinical staff to provide a high standard of administrative support across disciplines within the department.
Successful applicants will need a broad range of administrative skills, in particular:
* Previous experience of working in an administrative role
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* A good standard of customer care skills
* Confident and polite telephone manner
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office and using various IT systems
Main duties of the job
* Making and answering telephone calls to patients, GP surgeries, other Trust staff, and care agencies.
* Ability to communicate well with colleagues and service users to provide a safe and efficient service.
* Ability to understand and communicate basic medical information and relay this to patients and clinical staff.
* Creating and maintaining patient records.
* Receiving, processing, and making patient referrals.
* Maintaining office supplies.

Person Specification
Intermediate level of computer software use
* Knowledge of software used within the UHDB Trust
GCSE Maths and English
* At least Grade 4/C or equivalent O level
* Equivalent Qualification
Good Communication Skills
* Demonstrable skills in written and verbal communication
