Senior Specialist REACH – Chemical Registrations EAME
Huntsman has a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Specialist REACH – Chemical Registrations to join our EAME regional team. This role can be home-based in UK or in any of our other European locations.
The purpose of this role is to act as go-to person within EAME for business-initiated registration activities and ensure regulatory forward-looking compliance.

Role Responsibilities :
As a Senior Specialist REACH – Chemical Registrations EAME, you will:
1. Monitor and inform internal stakeholders on developments in REACH and other chemical regulations in EAME region like UK REACH.
2. Manage the submission of substance registration/notification dossiers.
3. Organize and facilitate project meetings with business partners and other stakeholders and regularly prepare project updates.
4. Focal point for REACH authorities - Follow-up on authority decisions/letters.
5. Assist in preparing substance identification i.e. provide criteria for decision whether substance or polymer.
6. Monitor, interpret and conduct impact assessments on specific chemical regulations and communicate to internal stakeholders.
7. Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
8. Support REACH awareness assessments and audits (sites / offices).
9. Provide training to business (R&D, commercial team, etc.), associates, customers, vendors, and tollers to improve REACH awareness.
10. Represent Huntsman in industry and trade association.
Experience and Competencies:
We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution focused approach.
What we are looking for:
11. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, (Life) Science or an equivalent relevant degree in Technical, Science or Engineering.
12. At least 5 years of experience in a REACH, product stewardship or regulatory affairs role in the chemical industry is required, with an awareness and understanding of chemical processes and products.
13. Deep understanding of chemistry, REACH, CLP, and chemical control legislations relevant for Huntsman businesses.
14. Sound project management experience.
15. Excellent working knowledge of SAP-EHS, IUCLID and IT tools (such as MS Excel, power query, databases, impact assessment tools).
16. Ability to communicate and work effectively with relevant legislative bodies.
17. Comfortable working with different cultures and through multiple time zones.
18. Able to influence people and adapt to changes.
19. Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
20. Contribute to innovative ideas with a good amount of curiosity.
21. Self-motivated and able to use initiative.
22. Have a proactive approach to working, with the ability to identify issues and address them quickly.
23. Occasional travel as required.
