Are you a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS teacher who is looking for their next role?
Due to an increasing demand in the Blackpool Fylde coast area. We are looking to recruit EYFS teachers for day to day and longer term cover positions. If you have a good understanding of the EYFS framework and recent experience working within this sector then we would love to have you on board with us!
For day to day teaching, the role of the supply teacher is an important one. It involves working to a different set plan each day, continuing to raise the attainment of children within the class you are covering whilst maintaining the high standards within the school. Day to day offers great flexibility that you are able to control and work life balance or the opportunity to build up a portfolio of different schools in order to build familiarity and a variety of experiences. Daily cover pays £120+ per day.
Longer term roles require more commitment and responsibilities as the full role of the class teacher, requiring the successful candidate to plan, prepare and mark their own class resources and work. You may be asked to support with assessments, termly reports and parents evenings. Longer term roles pay £160+ per day.
As the position is a teaching role, a successful candidate must hold QTS. For longer term roles the rate of pay will be discussed at the interview stage. Please be aware that as this is a longer role, in order to ensure candidate suitability the school may require an observation or an interview to be undertaken as part of the application process. Key responsibilities:
1. Planning work as appropriate guided by the school (if in a longer term position)
2. Deliver day to day planning set or guided by the school to deliver effective lessons.. (if on short term placement.)
3. Upholding the schools ethos and values.
4. Familiarising yourself with behaviour management systems and policies, ensuring that these are put in place.
5. Marking work that is completed during the day.
6. Maintaining up to date records of students progress and attainment.
7. Upholding the schools ethos and values.
8. Ensuring your availability for work is kept up to date.
Please not that candidates who do not meet the essential criteria for this role will not be considered.
Essential Requirements:
9. Relevant qualifications (PGCE, QTS etc..)
10. Knowledge of the EYFS framework and curriculum
11. Classroom experience.
12. Two references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
Desired:
13. DBS on the update system. Randstad is committed to the safety of young children; therefore all posts will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. If your DBS is not on the update service we can assist you with this.
14. Paediatric first aid trained.
