We're looking for someone for three afternoons per week to fit nicely into our small, friendly team in the office of this busy mail order sheet music shop. You should be computer literate, have good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work on your own initiative, and excellent attention to detail.
Your main responsibilities are:
1. Packing and despatching orders using Royal Mail Click & Drop and Parcel2Go.
2. Processing payments using Paypal Virtual Terminal.
3. Filing and stationery ordering.
4. Handling communications with Royal Mail, keeping up to date with their despatch processes, customs/shipping paperwork requirements, etc.
5. Pitching in and helping others out as necessary.
We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. The stated 9 hours pw are a guaranteed minimum – if it’s really busy we might ask if you can start an hour earlier (which you’d get paid for) and if it’s quiet then you could come in a little later (and not lose out financially).
This is not a high-powered/high-pressure job! It would be ideally suited to someone living locally looking for some fairly stress-free (most of the time) part-time work.
A car is essential for our rural location.
