We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Vending Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, restocking, and servicing vending machines across various locations. This role involves ensuring that machines are operational, clean, and stocked with a variety of products to meet customer demands. The Vending Operative will also handle inventory management, respond to customer inquiries, and provide excellent service to ensure a positive experience.
What we're looking for:
1. Machine Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain vending machines to ensure they are functioning properly. Troubleshoot any technical issues and perform minor repairs or coordinate with technical support when necessary.
2. Restocking: Monitor inventory levels and restock machines with a variety of snacks, beverages, and other products. Ensure that machines are well-organised and visually appealing.
3. Inventory Management: Track product usage and inventory levels, and report shortages or issues to management. Maintain accurate records of stock levels and sales.
4. Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, complaints, and refunds professionally and efficiently. Foster positive relationships with customers and promote sales through excellent service.
5. Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure that vending machines and surrounding areas are clean and safe for customers. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
6. Location Management: Travel to various vending locations as required, ensuring timely service and responsiveness to each site's needs.
7. Sales Reporting: Assist in compiling sales reports and analysing product performance to identify trends and optimise product selection and pricing.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and management effectively.
2. Ability to troubleshoot issues related to vending machines and respond to customer complaints or inquiries efficiently.
3. Keen eye for detail to ensure that machines are stocked accurately and remain clean and operational.
4. A friendly and approachable demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
5. Basic understanding of vending machine operations and the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
6. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently, ensuring that vending machines are serviced within required timeframes.
7. Ability to lift and move heavy boxes, as well as the physical capability to perform tasks such as restocking and cleaning machines.
8. Willingness to travel to various locations, work varied hours, and adapt to changing demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in vending operations or a customer service role is a plus.
2. Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic sales reporting is advantageous.
3. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting between locations.
