Tate+Co is seeking a senior architect to join its team in London.
Tate + Co has an opportunity for two senior architects, to join its growing practice and work on our increasing number of exciting UK projects.
We are architects, masterplanners and interior designers. Our projects range in scale from large regenerative masterplans to individual houses, and we have a broad spectrum of clients, including schools, universities, developers, hotels and Local Authorities. All our work fosters a connection to landscape, heritage and community.
We were founded in 2007 as sustainability specialists, based on our core belief that better spaces create better outcomes for people and planet. Responsibilities:
* Prepare design proposals, presentations and tender submission, for the purposes of winning work
* Contribute to business development by growing opportunities in new and current markets/sectors, including attending networking events
* Identify new markets and opportunities, cultivate innovative ways of working and implement effective partnering wherever possible
* Generate high impact innovative ideas and introduce new approaches
* Anticipate trends and impacts of sustainability and regulatory factors on design work
* Prepare architectural design proposals and presentations at all stages of a project
* Meet with clients and construction professionals to discuss project objectives, budget and feasibility of designs
* Review local rules and regulations to ensure the construction project falls within all constraints
* Create drawings, detailed drawings, schedules and specifications for architectural projects
* Use computer-aided design software (Revit) to create blueprints and images
* Coordinate work between contractors, surveyors, engineers and the design team
* Manage members of the team at Tate+Co in production and coordination of architectural information
* Create and participate in engagement and consultation exercises with project stakeholders
* Supervise the construction of buildings to ensure projects meet deadlines, stay on budget, and adhere to the original vision for the design
* Visit proposed locations and building sites as required
* Assist in the resolution of issues that arise during construction
General:
* Occasionally take on incidental duties
* Implement practice systems and policies including the Quality Management System, Health and Safety Policy, Sustainability Policy, and Equal Opportunities Policy
Requirements:
* Minimum of three years’ post-Part 3 qualification
* Experience of running projects across all RIBA work stages
* Experience of managing a small team or junior members of staff
* Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
* Excellent communication and confidence in dealing with clients
* Strong design and technical skills
* Good knowledge of UK building regulations and CDM / BSA
* Experience of planning application procedures
* Skilled in hand drawing
* Excellent BIM and Revit knowledge
* Excellent rendering skills (i.e., Enscape or V-Ray)
* Eligible to work in the UK
* ARB Registered
* Fluent in written and spoken English

Salary: Dependent on experience but will be competitive.
