Eden Scott's client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Banking Operation Administrator to join their team in Edinburgh. In this role, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accuracy and security of banking operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numerical skills and a keen eye for detail who is looking to develop their career in the financial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Onboarding & Account Opening: Support Relationship Managers and clients with queries related to account opening, documentation, and operational banking needs.
2. Banking Administration & Client Support: Manage cheque and pay-in book ordering, coordinating with external providers to fulfil client requests efficiently.
3. Process card ordering requests, ensuring the accurate and timely issuance of debit and credit cards to clients.
4. Ensure all client documentation is accurately processed, verified, and recorded in line with regulatory requirements and company policies.
5. Conduct due diligence checks, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
6. Liaise with internal teams and Relationship Managers to ensure efficient onboarding of new clients and timely resolution of any documentation issues.
7. Oversee the maintenance of client records, ensuring all information is up to date and accurately reflected in banking systems.
8. Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring all client onboarding and operational activities meet compliance standards.
9. Maintain strict confidentiality and data security when handling client information.
10. Assist in testing and implementing new systems or procedures, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption to client services.
11. Work closely with internal stakeholders across departments such as Compliance, Risk, Relationship Management, and IT to support wider operational objectives.
12. Contribute to a high-performance team culture, supporting continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the department.
Persons Specification:
1. Previous experience in a financial, banking, or administrative role is desirable
2. Strong numerical and analytical skills
3. High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
5. Excellent customer service and communication skills
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
