A Residential Care home for Children and Young People in Croydon is looking to recruit a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead their residential care service for children and young people with complex needs. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, create a safe, nurturing environment for children with complex emotional and behavioural disorders as well as learning difficulties. You will be responsible for managing 3 staff, developing care plans, and maintaining high standards of care to help young people thrive. The home caters for a maximum 2 children from the ages of 6 - 17 years old. This is a FULL TIME role and you will be required to work the following: -Monday to Friday with weekend availability -9am-5pm plus additional hours if required If you meet the following requirements then please apply today: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent A “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted rating for your recent inspections is highly desirable Minimum 2 years experience in a managerial or supervisory role within residential care for children Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and national care standards Excellent communication skills both written & spoken A valid Driving Licence (essential) This role is subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure, employment background checks, satisfactory references, and verification of your right to work in the UK You will be required to carry out the following duties: Managing & Supporting your team Working in a team Follow policies and procedures Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children’s home Ensuring a well-organised, efficient, and safe environment for children with emotional, behavioural, and complex learning needs. Ensure that all activities within the home are in full compliance with Ofsted standards, national care standards, and local authority requirements. Develop, implement, and regularly review individual care plans Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, their families, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to care. To act as an excellent role model to the staff team being able to showcase high quality practice in all areas Regularly monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements as needed to ensure the best outcomes for children.
