Wigan Life Centre South College Avenue Wigan WN1 1NJ Salary: Soulbury Assistant Educational Psychologist Pay Scale 2-5 35,228 39,341 2 positions x 37 hours per week Temporary until 31 st August 2025 Your role: Wigan Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is looking to recruit two, temporary, full-time Assistant Educational Psychologists who are committed to applying psychology to improve outcomes for children and young people. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Educational Psychologists in partnership with the Mental Health Support Team, supporting the implementation of the Whole School and College Approach (WCSA) to Mental Health through the Emotionally Friendly Schools (EFS) programme. You will support the delivery of the programme across Wigan educational settings with current access to a Mental Health Support Team. Applications are invited from candidates who wish to embark on the professional doctorate and qualify as an Educational Psychologist. About you: You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to apply psychology to improve outcomes for children and young people. You will have great organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload to meet deadlines. You will also have excellent decision-making skills and the ability to analyse complex information effectively. You will be able to gather and record data accurately from a variety of sources and work with others to use data for action planning.
