The Plant Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the manufacturing plant. The ultimate objective is to produce a high-quality product at the lowest possible cost, in a clean and safe environment, to achieve Manufacturing and Budgetary Goals. A knowledge of all plant functions is necessary for this success.

Required Qualifications:
* A BS degree in a technical field (Mechanical or Plastics Engineering preferred).
* At least 6 years of increasingly responsible experience in the management of supervisory and production personnel in a manufacturing environment and demonstrated leadership capability.
* Strong organizational and leadership skills.
* The ability to read, write, and speak in the English language at a level of competency sufficient to meet all communications requirements related to the position.
* The necessary credentials and identification to demonstrate the ability to legally work in a manufacturing environment in the United States.
* Visual acuity sufficient to read all necessary work-related materials and to visually identify defects in products being produced.
* A working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Under the direction of, and in consultation with, the Director of Blow Mold Manufacturing, establish and complete specific short and long-term goals and objectives in each of the following areas and establish specific criteria by which performance against each objective will be measured.
2. A) Direct Manufacturing operations in assigned plant.
3. (1) Ensure production of high-quality products.
4. (2) Ensure a safe working environment and practices.
5. (3) Coordinate with Production Planning and Control personnel to maximize machine utilization.
6. (4) Ensure compliance with all cGMP’s.
7. (5) Maintain good employee relations.
8. (6) Ensure efficient labor utilization and manpower planning.
9. B) Coordinate and expedite
10. (1) Special Projects.
11. (2) Changes to policies, procedures, and cGMP’s.
12. (3) Installation of new capital equipment and recommend purchase of capital items that meet ROI targets.
13. C) Meet Operating Budget goals and objectives.
14. (1) Responsible for implementing the training of new employees.
15. (2) Responsible for the hiring of production employees.
16. (3) Supervise Process Engineer to ensure Preventive Maintenance is accomplished in a timely manner.
17. (4) Member of Plant Quality Assurance Improvement Team (QuAT Team), with the goal of continuous improvement.
18. Take the necessary actions including those listed below to achieve or exceed established goals.
19. A. Report for work promptly each day and avoid excessive or unnecessary absenteeism, setting a positive work ethic by example for all assigned personnel.
20. B. Schedule, assign, direct, and motivate shift personnel in the accomplishment of organizational objectives.
21. C. Develop an in-depth understanding of, and fully enforce, all company policies, procedures, work rules, and cGMP’s, maintaining a positive and productive demeanor to set a positive example for subordinates and others.
22. D. Develop and promote cross-functional team activities whenever possible to solve operational and quality issues to enhance the plant’s synergy and cohesiveness.
23. E. Handle personnel-related matters in a fair and consistent manner.
