Your day to day role will vary but will include:
1. Gaining consent before providing care.
2. Looking after and removal of catheters.
3. Venepuncture and taking cannulas out.
4. Observations - oxygen saturation levels, blood pressure monitoring, body temperature, pulse rate.
5. Understanding these observations, documenting them both electronically and in the maternity health record, and acting on the information.
6. Supporting families in their choices for screening and immunisations.
7. Providing support and assisting families in their choices for feeding their infants.
8. Participating in antenatal classes.
