Nursery: Bright Horizons Southborough Springfield Road Day Nursery and Preschool Salary : £27,797 - £33,440 per annum depending on qualifications/experience We are looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Southborough Springfield Day Nursery, situated in Southborough close to Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells town centers, with good transport links. The nursery offers a 40 place nursery that caters for children aged 3 months to 36 months. The nursery has a home from home feel with its own garden space. The team has a collective Early Years Experience of 100 years plus and is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and offers three separate rooms for the children. Each Bright Horizons colleague is entitled to a paid volunteer day every year What you’ll be doing Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment What we’re looking for Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential) Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults Bright Horizons are committed to creating inclusive environments where everyone has a sense of belonging and has the opportunity to contribute and thrive in meaningful and impactful ways.
