Pay Rate: £14.19/hour
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
* Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 (1-hour lunch break: 12:15-13:15)
* Friday: 08:00 - 16:00 (1-hour lunch break: 12:15-13:15)
* Contract Duration: Until 31/03/2025 (extension subject to performance and budget)
Brook Street is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to work with the Ministry of Defence as a Front Desk Administrator at the Bulford Healthcare Facility (BHF).
About the Role
This role combines back-office administrative tasks with reception duties. You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment, supporting the clinical output of three key departments within the Bulford Healthcare Facility:
* Department of Community Mental Health (DCMH)
* Regional Occupational Health Team (ROHT)
* Regional Rehabilitation Unit (RRU)
As part of a supportive team, you'll ensure the smooth delivery of daily administrative functions, providing vital support to clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Supporting the Office Managers with day-to-day administration tasks.
* Managing patient referrals, appointments, and correspondence efficiently.
* Maintaining accurate records using the Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP).
* Ensuring patients receive exceptional service with fairness, dignity, and privacy.
* Assisting with audits, data collection, and Subject Access Requests (SAR).
* Undertaking general reception duties, including patient interactions, answering calls, and filing.
* Adhering to departmental policies, such as the clear desk policy.
Candidate Requirements
We're looking for candidates who:
* Have five GCSEs (Grade C or above), including English, or equivalent qualifications.
* Hold an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or have relevant clerical experience.
* Are proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to using internal systems (training provided).
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
* Excel in organizational skills and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Additional Information
* Location: Although classed as Ward Barracks, the facility is based outside the camps.
* Pre-employment checks: Successful candidates are subject to a basic DBS check and a 3-year activity check.
