Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Senior Support Worker/ Team Leader to join our new Supported Living service in Shipley Bradford. About the service Our Supported Living Service in Shipley is home to 3 young gentlemen with Learning Disabilities All the gentlemen are very active and have community based activities they take part in. They enjoy and would need support from staff to be able to access swimming, going to the cinema and the theatre to watch plays and films and also to engage in meaningful employment (volunteer or paid) They have a good sense of humour and would benefit from upbeat/chatty personalities About the role As a Team Leader you will provide support to our Supported Living Services in Bradford and Huddersfield, providing specialised person centred support. Radis recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique service which is tailored to their specific needs and provide a consistent approach throughout their life. To work alongside the Managers of our Supported Living Services- overseeing the smooth running of these services, completing regular audits, checks, supervisions, spot checks, updating and reviewing support plans and working to ensure that individuals achieve their outcomes. The role will require you to schedule / allocate work to the Support Workers, support with medication, personal care tasks and covering shifts within the services. Skills and Qualifications required for the role Previous experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, autism and mental health issues Previous experience as a Team Leader is essential. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards Level 3. You will have good written and verbal communication skills and have a willingness to learn in line with clients needs and expectations. This role requires you to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
