A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse to join our team on Trauma Unit, 1 full time post and 1 part time post.

Trauma Unit is a 39 bed Trauma and Orthopedic ward. Working with us will give you the chance to deliver care you can be proud of! You will be motivated to continuously improve patient care and experience and contribute towards identifying and implementing improvements and change within the department.
Main duties of the job
* To provide high quality, individualised nursing care to patients and their parents/carers through working as an effective member of the inter-disciplinary team, including completing assessments and maintaining tailored care plans.
* You will be responsible for and manage your caseload, reporting to the nurse in charge.
* Support and drive innovation and work collaboratively across the multidisciplinary team.
* Contribute to the supervision, assessment and education/development of ward staff and students.
* Contribute to the continuing development of nursing practice through research and audit.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of high quality care to a defined patient group either within the acute hospital or community-based setting. They are responsible for the assessment, development, delivery and evaluation of evidence-based individualised patient care within the boundaries of their role. The post holder will contribute to the continuing development of standards of care, including developments of nursing standards and monitoring of outcomes. They will be expected to continue with their own professional development.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* First Level Registered Nurse
* Current/live registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council
* Teaching/Assessor Qualification e.g. ENB 998 or equivalent
* Qualification/Experience in teaching and assessing
Knowledge
* Recent experience within women's health and nursing patients in an acute/community setting or recently completed a Return To Nursing course
* Able to demonstrate effective consolidation of nursing knowledge and practice after qualification and Preceptorship
* Experience within a range of patient/client care groups
* Venepuncture/cannulation
* PCA management
* ECG
* Central line/PICC line management
