Production Welding Operator, Wolverhampton, £13.82 per hour
Manufacturers of precision engineered components for a wide variety of customers. They are currently looking to recruit a proven Production Welding Operator.
Responsibilities include: -
• Prepare for work to be accomplished by studying Weld Procedures, SOP’s, Work Order details, drawings, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Weld, with the appropriate process, rods, cylinders, or subassemblies, checking for any damage to components before use.
• Ensure non welded parts of the product are protected from spatter or damage.
• Verifies final product by visual inspection and where relevant, measuring completed component.
• Notifying Supervision if any defects are found.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; calling for repairs where necessary.
• Complete batch cards, inspection records, record preventative maintenance, training and other record keeping as required.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• To work on your own initiative and understand the relevant SOPs/Quality Instructions/Risk Assessments/COSSH data and manufacturing processes.
• Fulfil training deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in your personal development.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and policies. Take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks in relation to your own job role and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate.
