Responsible for the management and performance of the Health Records and Ward Clerk Services across the Trust. To investigate complex enquiries providing assistance and advice as required.
The post holder will require excellent change management skills, along with good negotiation and influencing skills to manage the change, take staff with them and ensure business benefits are realised.
Oversee the delivery and development of the Health Records and Ward Clerk Services in line with national and local strategic objectives. Including appropriate service redesign with the move to the Electronic Patient Record, through provision of specialist advice on records management best practice and standards to senior managers, clinicians and allied health professionals so as to inform in strategic business planning.
To meet the service’s required performance targets including financial expenditure, cost control, and service delivery quality and activity targets for the Trust’s Health Records Libraries, Archiving, Admissions, Medical Legal, Amalgamation and the Trust’s Ward Clerk service. To contribute towards the strategic direction of the entire Patient Administration service.
