Position: Class Teacher – SEND
Location: Barking & Dagenham

Connex Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher for a reputable special school located in Barking and Dagenham. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators looking to make a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and disabilities. Both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEND.
2. Supportive Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.
3. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the holistic well-being of students.
4. IEP Implementation: Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to the ongoing assessment and review process.
5. Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents, carers, and external agencies as necessary to support student progress.
Requirements:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential.
7. Experience: Previous experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is required.
8. Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEND strategies, interventions, and best practices.
9. Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
10. Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching approaches to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles.
