About the Role:
As a Plumber within our Kent and Medway branch, you will be part of a local team undertaking high standard plumbing repairs and refurbishment activities to housing properties, delivering best in class customer service and satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.
* You will have a certified core trade in support of completing repair/refurbishment works on time and to a high standard in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures.
* Take ownership in undertaking construction, fault finding and maintenance repairs aiming for a first-time completion whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
* Ensure that the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with service users, clients, and both internal/external stakeholders. This includes, but is not limited to, appearance, company ID, condition of vehicles and maintaining a high standard of health & safety requirements. It may be necessary where requested to obtain customer feedback on completion of works.
* Process all activities in association with tasks/works electronically utilizing a hand-held device (PDA). This includes, but is not limited to, worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence of works before/during/after, van stock replenishment, booking of annual leave, vehicle inspections, safeguarding issues, risk assessments and method statements.
* Keep all supplied company assets in good condition in line with the company policies and report to your Supervisor/Manager where damages occur.
* Utilize existing stock or collect materials as and when required to meet works order requirements, in accordance with standard operating procedures for purchasing and van stock control compliance.
* Attend informal and formal meetings and training sessions as required.
There is an expectation that any candidates will need to undertake OOH duties. This will be Monday evening to Monday morning every 4 weeks.
Role Criteria:
* Plumber – domestic and commercial experience
* City & Guilds or equivalent in Plumbing trade discipline.
* Experience in plumbing trade environment.
* Ability to work alone as well as part of a team
* Previous experience working in NHS or prisons environments would be ideal but not essential
