The successful candidate will join our busy Ocular Oncology team and be responsible for greeting patients at Outpatients reception, booking appointments via IPM, answering telephone queries and general office tasks. You will work closely with our existing clerical staff but also interact with the patients on reception. Good communication skills are essential.

Main duties of the job
Applicants should demonstrate good IT/keyboard, communication and organisational skills. You will be required to work well under pressure. We treat a rare cancer with patients travelling nationwide to our clinic as well as from overseas. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
Duties will include dealing with referrals; arranging appointments; data entry; telephone enquiries and general office tasks. You need to be able to provide an optimum level of customer service to patients and staff, both in person and over the telephone.
The post holder must be self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
Experience in the NHS would be preferable, however full training will be given.
