Job Responsibilities:
1. Deal with patient enquiries efficiently and courteously whether face to face or via telephone.
2. Answer phones in a timely manner.
3. Process requests for appointments, visits, and telephone consultations, ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional via signposting.
4. Open post and allocate documents as per practice protocols and processes.
5. Handle prescription requests within the timeframe standard set.
6. Liaise with local hospitals, pharmacies, and other healthcare professionals as required.
7. Take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery.
8. Manage daily tasks and patient notes.
9. Chase up results for patients and deal with urgent results for the GPs.
10. Print blood forms and complete any other forms as necessary.
11. Chaperone patients as and when required.
12. Safely handle/process samples received from patients following practice protocols.
13. Attend mandatory training sessions.
14. Accept payment and issue receipts for relevant charges for private (non General Medical Services) services.
15. Provide support in achieving the Practice Targets such as QOF, IIF, etc.
16. Register new patients.
17. Maintain patient records and update contact numbers and addresses as required.
18. Deal with any queries from clinicians in a timely manner.
19. Attend team meetings.
20. Ensure adequate forms/documents are maintained at the front desk for an efficient customer care process.
21. Follow opening and closing procedures as appropriate.
22. Perform any other duties considered appropriate to the post.

Pay: From £11.44 per hour
Expected Hours: 20 – 37.5 per week
